And say: "Work (righteousness): Soon will Allah observe your work, and His Messenger, and the Believers: Soon will ye be brought back to the knower of what is hidden and what is open: then will He show you the truth of all that ye did." 9:105

Marcell Rose Anthony wrote:

The Arab Americans of Central Ohio, Inc., is a non-profit corporation, and was started by Andy Amid and Suhail Zeidan in 1990. Its primary function is to educate the American public on the history, peoples, culture, religions, and society in general of The Arab World. As a secondary purpose, AACO and its members enjoy ethnic community-based outreach.

AACO is a 50l(c)(3) organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a qualified non-profit where income is not reported, and all contributions and dues are tax deductible.

For twenty years, AACO represents The Arab World at the International Festival sponsored each year at Veterans Memorial by the Columbus-United Nations where its booth educates the American public with literature, artifacts, displays and other educational items from The Arab World.

AACO has also held functions for its Arab-American membership and friends in the form of haflis, art shows, picnics, fashion shows, speakers, panel discussions, and has had a presence at various other cultural and religious events.

Past Presidents are Suhail Zeidan, Andy Amid, Marcell Rose Anthony, Barakat Saleh, and its current President is Rod Skaf. AACO's Board is comprised of Arab American Christians and Muslims working together to accomplish its goals and purposes.

  1. After Rod Skaf's resignation as President of AACO, Samia Alzier was elected President of AACO by the Board of Directors. Samia is energetic and committed to the goals, missions and purposes of AACO as well as to the Arab American community.
